| ANTIGUA
WEEK 2008
Antigua Regatta Week is for the sailor who wants to
try something different. Imagine sailing in the sunshine in just shorts
and T-shirt and a good warm breeze blowing. The slow Caribbean life on
this tranquil island is transformed once a year when the regatta comes
to Antigua.
This is without doubt one of the best events on the
calendar, well organised racing and hospitality second to none in superb
natural surroundings. Whether novice or experienced in yachting MEC Sail
can accommodate you.
The holiday is broken up into two parts.
| First Week: 27th April - 3rd May 2008 |
Second Week: 4th May – 10th May 2008 |
| On arrival at Antigua, join our yacht,
and prepare for some friendly Caribbean yacht racing in the sunshine.
With experienced and non experienced sailors all taking part in one
of the best regatta locations in the world you are sure of plenty
of action and fun. We race to different parts of Antiqua and continue
with serious partying and plenty of rum punch well into the small
hours. |
Nows the time to relax, chill out
and choose your destination. With many islands to choose from we won't
see them all - but hey whats the rush after all it is the Caribbean.
Bring your fins and snorkel for some exceptional sights below the
water line including exotic tropical fish. Fisherman don't forget
the rod, we have been known to catch very big tuna for dinner.
(See itinerary below) |
Our
Intentions
Arrange flights and transfers at the best possible rates.
To provide you with a unique holiday on board a cruiser/race
yacht approx 40 feet.
We will provide an experienced skipper to lead the novices
through the complications of yacht racing and galvanise
the more experienced sailors into a team. The crews will
be chosen on their experience, ability and enthusiasm!
Dinner will be a mixture of dining aboard (you will be
the chef on one occasion) or at one of the many restaurants
on the island.
Two weeks of sailing, partying, relaxing and enjoying oneself
is a must for anyone looking for a holiday with a difference!
Accommodation will be on board. Provisioning and additional
costs will be covered by a kitty.
Racing security deposit required - fully refundable in
the event of no losses.
Approximate cost £1,300.00 per person excluding flights.
Singles, groups or couples welcome.
Talk to Maria (07771 632574) or David (07974
