ANTIGUA WEEK 2010
Antigua Regatta Week is for the sailor who wants to try something different. Imagine sailing in the sunshine in just shorts and T-shirt and a good warm breeze blowing. The slow Caribbean life on this tranquil island is transformed once a year when the regatta comes to Antigua.
This is without doubt one of the best events on the calendar, well organised racing and hospitality second to none in superb natural surroundings. Whether novice or experienced in yachting MEC Sail can accommodate you.

MEC Sail are once again offering a chance for individuals, couples or groups to sail with us at Antigua Week. We welcome both novice and experienced sailors and have two packages available –
Two week package – take off for some wonderful cruising, where you can relax, enjoy the sun and scenery as well as perhaps a little informal practise in the run up to the race week! We will have a choice of places to visit in and around Antigua and the surrounding islands. We will return to Nelsons Dockyard in Antigua in order to start practising for the race week, which starts on Saturday 24th April.
Race Week package – join from Thursday 22nd April for a couple of days practice before the racing starts on Saturday. The races are scheduled from Saturday to Thursday with the prize giving in Nelson's Dockyard on Friday. This gives you time for a day or two of training before the regatta starts and the last Friday to relax and catch your breath before the prize giving that evening.
Prices:
Two week package: £1595 per person
Race Week package: £1295 per person
Deposit : £500 per person
Racing security deposit required - fully refundable in the event of no losses, approx £400 pp
Price includes: yacht, skipper, first mate, race entry, dive cleaned bottom, cruising sails, racing sails and spinnakers, accommodation onboard, racing insurance, bed linen and towels.
Excluded: Flights and transfers, berthing, water and national park fees, immigration fees, food and drinks. Provisioning and additional costs will be covered by a kitty.
