There are many opportunities for individuals and small groups of people to go sailing without having to worry about finding a complete crew or being concerned about the type of people they are going to be sailing with.

MEC Sail have a long-standing reputation for providing events throughout the year that involve exciting sailing alongside an exciting and varied social scene.

2009 Hamble Winter Series
6 races excluding. £85 per race

43rd Antigua Race Week 2010
This two week all inclusive sailing package gives you the opportunity to race at Antigua for the first week and then cruise the Caribbean islands on the second. This is a holiday of a lifetime and an early booking is essential.

Round The Island Race: 2010
This race takes the normal format and Mec Sail is able to provide yachts for bareboat or skippered charter.

Cowes Week 2010
The international acclaimed Cowes Week regatta based at Cowes on the Isle of Wight provides exciting home water racing. Opportunities exist for day racing or the entire week.

ARC 2010
The grand finale. Your chance to sail across the Atlantic. Ask for details.

Hamble Winter Series 2009
 9 races to count excluding 2nd November which is a charity race.
October 2009- November 2009. £85 per race.

Cork Week 2010:
10th July 2008 – 16th July 2010
This exciting regatta based in Crosshaven Ireland is one of the worlds most prestigious regattas. Mec Sail is able to provide opportunities to cruise there and back or to go racing. Yachts are also available for bareboat charter.

RORC / JOG racing – there is a full calendar of cross-channel racing which we would offer skippered charters if you have a complete ccrew wishing to take part.

SKIPPERS

The skippers will act as your guide to the boat and local waters. They will enjoy showing you new places and letting them into their secrets — about sailing, the best places to swim, to eat, you name it.

Their guidance enables you to sail the yacht yourself if you wish, whether or not you are inexperienced, in the knowledge that a trained eye is in constant attendance. It’s a great way to learn.

EXPERIENCE

Whether or not you are a beginner or an experienced sailor, a ‘fun sail’ can be a relaxed and informative way of exploring new cruising grounds or experimenting with unfamiliar yachts, perhaps one bigger than you’re used to.

We find people work as a team and with the hand of the skipper everyone should improve their sailing knowledge.
